Stephanie has a Master of Science in Professional Counseling with Emphasis on Childhood and Adolescence Disorders and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with over 30 years of experience working with children and adolescents. 

Mental health counseling goals for children and adolescents

are designed to address emotional, social and behavioral needs. 

Emotional: Focus is on providing support for addressing emotions in healthy ways. Effective coping skills are taught for managing stress, anxiety, grief and anger. 

Social:  Focus is on increasing social skills by learning to read social cues and participate in cooperative play with a focus on improving self-esteem, family dynamics, and friendships. 

Behavioral: Focus is on understanding and addressing root causes of behavioral issues to improve outcomes at home and school.
